Club Name : BROOMIEKNOWE GOLF CLUB Competition Name : Gents Senior Open Texas Scramble Startsheet or draw : Startsheet Event Date : 19/05/2026 Book Until : 17/05/2026 18:00 Visitor Fee : £20.00 Description : The event is called Gents Senior Open Texas Scramble and is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 19th May 2026. The format is non-acceptable Mens Texas Scramble Strokeplay. It is an open competition, visitors are allowed to enter. The men will play the Broomieknowe GC course off the White tees.
Entry Conditions:
Entry is restricted to amateur competitors who have a current World Handicap System (WHS) handicap index issued through a recognised affiliated Golf Club, individuals who have a handicap issued directly from a national body cannot enter.
The maximum handicap allowance that an individual team member will get is a course playing handicap of 18 strokes (equivalent to a Handicap Index of 17.2)
Competitors with a handicap index greater than 17.2 can still enter but will only receive a maximum of 18 strokes (as usual a team’s handicap will be calculated with the formula, 25% of the lowest handicap, 20% of the second lowest, 15% of the third lowest, and 10% of the highest handicap, and then add them together to get the team's allowance.).
Entry Fees:
You must pay the competition fee when at the time of booking, see the cancellation policy below.
Cancellation Policy:
A full refund will be issued to cancellations that are made up to within 14 days of the competition date, after this date there will be no refund of entry fees.
A full refund will be issued if the club must cancel the competition for any reason such as the course is deemed unplayable.
Catering:
Catering is available in the Clubhouse from 09:00.
Parking:
If the main car park is full, you should use the overflow car park, direction signs to the overflow car park are at the entrance to the main car park.
Prizes:
Prizes for the day are provided through credit with the Club Professional for all competitors who live with the Lothians Region. Competitors who are from further afield can request a Scottish Golf Vouchers if they wish.
Committee Decisions:
The competition committee has the final say on all matters and their decisions are final.
Buggies:
If you require a buggy then please check availability with the professional, the club only have 3 buggies available for hire, competitors who wish to use a buggy (club hired or personal) must provide proof of eligibility to use a buggy for competition purposes.
