TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
WHS Index Limit: 7.0
Entry Fee: £40, in accordance with the Entry process
Field Size: 30
Closing Date: 12 noon, 25th April 2026. Entries at this date will be allocated a place in the starting field in accordance with the below.
In the event the field is not full following the Closing date, late entries will be assessed on a first come first served basis until 6th June 2026.
To be eligible entrants must be:
a) Female and of amateur status as defined by R&A Rules Limited.
b) In possession of a WHS Handicap Index not exceeding 7.0.
c) Be under 23 years old on 1st January 2025
Any eligible entrant in at least one of the following categories will be allocated a place in the starting field :
a) Past Champions, then
b) Up to 6 players nominated by the Tournament committee, then
c) The highest ranked entrants with WAGR (1 – 2000) at Closing date, then
d) The remainder of up to 30 places in the field will comprise entrants balloted in order of verified Closing date WHS index. A waiting list will operate if required with Players advised of status as appropriate.
Entries to be made per the Entry Process below. By entering, Player confirms agreement to their name, result, image being used on social media solely relating to this Competition.
CONDITIONS
1. The competition is to be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited, and the Local Rules as approved by the Tournament Committee.
2. The competition shall be decided over 3 rounds of Stroke Play, 18 holes on the first day and 36 holes on the second day. There will be no “net” competition and there shall be no “cut”.
3. The Tournament committee may amend the competition in the event of unexpected circumstances.
4. The playing order for Round 1 will be advised at least 3 days in advance. The playing order for rounds 2 & 3 will be advised as soon as available following completion of Round 1.
6. Caddies are permitted.
Winners and Prizes
The winner of the Tigress Trophy will be the player with the lowest strokeplay score. In the event of a tie there will be a play off by single hole(s). If the play-off has not produced a winner after 2 play off holes the title will be shared. A prize presentation will follow the conclusion of play.
Prize Fund :
Winner : £300
Runner Up : £150
3rd Place : £100 Low Round 1 : £30
4th Place : £70 Low Round 2 : £30
5th Place : £40 Low Round 3 : £30
Players may win multiple prizes.

Accommodation
Details of prize and preferential accommodation rates from Hilton Northampton will be provided to competitors in due course
Practice Round
Players are requested to book their practice round directly with the Northampton Golf Club Pro shop on any available visitor slot following confirmation of their place in the starting field, quoting that they are a confirmed entrant of the competition. Players are however encouraged to play their practice round on the afternoon of Friday 12th June. The Practice Round is included in the Entry fee.

13th June - Player’s Registration at Club House or by phone to Pro Shop 1 hour prior to tee time.
13th June – 1st Round tee times approx. 13.00 – 15.00pm
14th June – 2nd Round tee times approx. 08.00 – 10.00am, Final Round tee times approx. 13.00 – 15.00pm
ENTRY PROCESS
Please enter via the northamptongolfclub.co.uk website - clicking on Visitors > Open Competitions > Tigress Trophy.
The Entry system in use requires the Fee to be collected at point of Entry, however full refunds will be processed if you a) withdraw at least 7 days prior to the Tournament, b) are not allocated a place in the initial starting field and do not wish to be placed on the Waiting list, or c) are placed on the Waiting list but are not offered a place in the starting field by 7 days prior to the Tournament. Please note due to system restrictions Refunds may take up to 2 weeks to process.
Field status will be posted on Instagram : Tigress trophy and the Northampton Golf Club website within 7 days of Closing date. Late entries following the Closing date should be submitted directly to golfmanager@northamptongolfclub.co.uk
