The event is called Ian Lamb Memorial (Irvine Links Qualifier) and is scheduled for Sunday 26th July 2026. The format is Mens Singles Scratch Strokeplay with a Handicap Index Limit of 9.0.
This is an open event, played over 18 holes and will be a counter for the Doc Thom Ayrshire Order of Merit.
The men will play The Irvine Golf Club course off the Blue tees.
The defending champion and leading 15 players who live in Irvine (KA11 or KA12 postcodes) or are a playing member of Irvine, Irvine Ravenspark, Gailes Links or Western Gailes would qualify to compete for The Irvine Links trophy.
The Irvine Links will be played as a matchplay knockout across the evenings of August the 3rd (top 16), 4th (1/4 finals) 6th (1/2 finals) & 7th (Final).
