Club Name : Rhondda Golf Club Competition Name : Open Day 2026 Startsheet or draw : Startsheet Event Date : 09/08/2026 Book Until : 08/08/2026 18:00 Visitor Fee : £20.00 Description : The booking system for Open Day on Sunday 9th August is now open. The cost is £10 for members and £20 for visitors. The day will be an individual stableford competition played off yellow tees with a 95% handicap allowance. Tee slots are bookable between 7.04am and 1.04pm. Members can book in up to 2 visitors to play with, but must include each visitors' name, CDH number and contact phone number as part of the booking process. The contact number is important so that we will be able to get in touch with them to inform them if they have won any prizes available through the day. There will be a £5 on the day payment which will cover the raffle and ball sweep for 2’s.

There will be two divisions of players which will be based on the playing handicap on the day. Division 1 will be for players with a 95% playing handicap up to 12 and division 2 will be for players of playing handicap of 13 to 32. Players whose playing handicaps are above 32 may still enter the competition, but for prizes in division 2, 32 will be the maximum handicap allowed. However for handicap calculations and score entry onto the PSI system, the players actual playing handicap will be used.

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each division. In addition, there will be a ball sweep for 2’s on all par 3’s. There will also be prizes for nearest the pins on all par 3’s, nearest the pin 2nd shot on hole 18 and longest drive on hole 10.

If the completed draw has large gaps between tee times, members (and their visitors) may be contacted to see if they could move to an earlier slot. This is to facilitate the opening of the course as early as possible for casual golf for members who do not wish to participate in the competition.
